The Lightbox plug-in builds a user-definable, full hybrid lightbox/softbox for use in film and television production, although it can be adapted for use in other productions.
The lightbox can be built from numerous different types of hardware:
Square or Round Tubing
Flat Truss
Box Truss (imperial and metric options…plated only)
Box Truss with drop down pipe border
Speed Grid (4’ and 6’, along with options for 12” and 18” trusses top and bottom)
NOTE: All options are built with simple geometry and are not Vectorworks truss symbols, Braceworks objects, or rigging objects. Everything does contain chord snapping options.
There is control over pipe mounting options and support, with reference hanging points. There are also options for box surround fabric, skirt, control grid, and box top, with individual texture options for each. Basic rigging options are also provided for more detailed visuals. Boxes can also be tilted along the X or Y axis.
In addition to simple internal lighting for quick visualizations, there is an option to place Spotlight Lighting Devices onto the box, with automatic placement based on defined spacing and dimensions. This can also add position name, unit numbering, and label legends if desired.
