Lighting Stand contains nine stand types used frequently in all sorts of entertainment production. The stands included in the plug-in are the Preemie, Low Boy, Beefy Baby, Combo (3-riser), Mombo Combo, C-Stand, Short C-Stand, Turtle, and Rolling Turtle (hopefully more coming in a future update). Working rocky legs are on each stand type which has them. Several of the stands also have a wheel option. The height is adjustable on every stand except Turtle and Rolling Turtle.
Each stand also has options for various rigging hardware, including the following:
2.5” Grip Head with the option to add a 20” or 40” grip arm, with or without another 2.5” grip head.
4.5” Grip Head with the option to add Menace Arms.
Menace Arm in four preset lengths, with rotation and tilt. The arms even has sandbags.
Cheeseboro or Scaff Clamp with the option for a tee pipe or adjustable pipe, with custom length.
Beaver Board with five preset sizes.
Custom user-selected symbol
While chord snapping data is present, it does not seem to function as desired, especially in 2D.
The plug-in is hybrid 2D and 3D. The 2D portion is drawn with 2D shapes, not just a top-view of 3D geometry.
The Lighting Stand plug-in was written in Vectorworks 2026 and ported back to 2021. It should work in any version from 2021 and up. A 2024 version, which has updated icons for light/dark modes, is also included and should work in 2024 and later.
